If the hydrogen disappears immediately after produced (out of the machine) then why does the water test higher in pH later than immediate?
pH does not measure the concentration of molecular hydrogen (H2) only the ratio of H+ to OH- ions. H+ ions react with environment faster than OH- causing alkaline boost after electrolysis. A further indicator of unstable pH.
